Agender, alexithymic, aplatonic, aromantic, asexual, AuDHD, demi-, flux-, grey-, pan-, queer, questioning? All of the above? ;) Once per month, ace and a-spec folks of all feathers from the chaos and beyond meet up in the main room of the CCCHH hack space.
What kind of meet-up is it?
Place and time are set, but there's no fixed agenda. You can use the space to connect and exchange with like-minded folks on the a-spectrums. You can do hobby stuff on your own while being in company. Small projects also take place here, such as the preparations for CSD, where participants get together to make wristbands and other items. You can engage with the community and align on politics and activism. Or you just hang out in a chill atmosphere with a sense of belonging, where nobody will find you weird for the way you're wired.
Do I have to be out of the closet if I want to participate?
No. The club room serves as a place for discussing asexuality and aromanticism through an intersectional, queer-feminist, and power-critical/discrimination-sensitive lens. The CCCHH space and structure protect the privacy and informational self-determination of participants. Nobody will be asked or nudged to reveal their personal data. Your labels and other communities are yours, share them only if you want.
What is meant by A-Spectrum?
For example: Asexuality is a spectrum on which people experience little to no sexual attraction. Aromanticism means that people experience little to no romantic feelings. But there‘s many more experiences, and all of them are beautiful: https://lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Asexual_Spectrum Alexithymia and AuDHD are mentioned because there is a big intersection of Ace/Aros who are also on the Autism spectrum.
